In July 2021, with a sense of adventure and Miami as the destination, I loaded up my Jeep Wrangler with a rooftop tent and a bag of clothes, and started a cross-country trek, something I’ve always wanted to do. The next 70 days were an experience of a lifetime, with many lessons learned. Maybe the most memorable: climbing out of a tent and down a ladder in freezing weather at 3am makes you appreciate the comforts of an insulated van with an indoor toilet!
Thus, I returned to California with a new goal: I had to get a campervan.

During a trip to Vegas a few weeks later, I looked for a van to rent, and the idea for DeVan Rentals presented itself in a sea of always-rented vans on Outdoorsy. Thus, I opened in Mar 2023 with a custom build from Latitude Vans. A year and 2 additional vans later, my son Conner joined the business to help with the rental process and cleaning.

These days, I take to the road with Koda, my 3yr old Border Collie-Husky, whenever possible. Koda loves the van, and every trip we take together.
